pebble
Today I have some interesting photos of colourful pebbles.
Found something odd in the name of pebbles? You guessed correctly, these are not pebbles, these are the very close-up shots of food grains. Have you ever seen them so closely?
Are you still not able to recognize them? OK, a simple task for you. Match the following, like we use to do in school. It will be fun!
1. Mung Bean (Moog dal) [split]
2. Red Chickpea (Kabuli chana)
3. Kidney beans (Rajma)
4. Mustard seeds (Rai)

Hibiscus
When I say flower(s), do I need to mention 'beautiful'? Every flower is indeed beautiful. Even the cactus' flowers are beautiful to watch (only to eyes). They are not guaranteed beautiful if you pluck them and get yourself poked by the thorns. BTW, this photos wont poke you. It is just beautiful pink hibiscus.
We all are familiar with red coloured hibiscus. And did you know Hibiscus are also available in yellow and white colours.

contrast
This picture seems like they are two separate landscapes and they are merged together performing some nice editing tricks. But this is not the truth, the whole frame is one landscape, no editing, no merging, purely captured in one frame.
Now a days editing tools are so high end, that they can transform a picture into what not. But I would say photography isn't about photoshop'ing the pictures, it should be raw photographs. Those are the true photography.Sunday, May 22, 2011
spectacular sunset
Spectacular sun getting set at Juhu beach, Mumbai. Experimenting myself taking landscapes pictures in portrait mode. As I see many of the photographers getting their nice hands on this type of photography, I thought of experimenting myself. And I think this experiment haven't turned out that bad for this photograph. What do you say? Let me know by hitting the 'Like' button/commenting below this post.

Butterfly
I was just thinking what write-up to add with this butterfly pic. And my mind caught the phrase "butterflies in the stomach". By Google-ing it I got some mind-blowing results.
LOL?It is common for one to feel butterflies in the stomach when in the early stages of a relationship. Butterflies in the stomach are often seen as a positive and harmless sign of subconscious feelings for romantic interest and are caused by the release of mood altering endorphins. They are especially frequent in teenage romances and studies show that this symptom is more frequently experienced by females than males.
Now go back in your mind and try to remember when was the last time you had butterflies in your stomach.

Maroon
When I was kid, my mum used to refer 'maroon' so many times and tell me maroon this and maroon that, I used to feel, maroon is so typical Gujarati. But later I learnt, maroon is so English. And much later I came to know word 'maroon' was derived from French. Strange world! BTW, I loved this maroon flowers!

pink lace
I'm obsessed with lace. All sorts of lace, in all sorts of pastel colours. And when I find ruffled lace in one of my favourite colours, pink (the other favourite colours are gold, white, and purple, but you didn't really need to know that now, did you?!), I am in lace heaven and can't resist buying it.
So after I bought this particular ruffled pink lace, I decided that I couldn't just stare at it for eons, and that I needed to do something with it. So I took a vintage gold photo frame, and started layering the lace inside it. Then I stuck it on my wall, so everyone can have a nice gawk at it too. I think it's turned out fabulously.
Yay for DIY projects, yay for lace and a special yay for Tupu Sawant, the winner of our April 2011 photography contest!
p.s.: This is the second-to-last post from all the girl-week posts. The last one will be a photo of a corner of my room.
