Tribes
India is also known for its tribal population. I feel pity for these innocent kids. They don't go to school, their life is surrounded only in a little part of forest, no source of information, only a small world to live, still they find all the reason to smile and laugh.
This shot I had captured during a trek in Sanjay Gandhi National Park.

Mountain Sun
Hello my friends, wassup! Its been so long I posted a photo. This blog is no more a photo a day, lol. Too much occupied by the work, no time for my darling camera. Anyways, will try to post some photos as I get them.
Just a thought: Sun doesn't rise, we rotate. ;-)

My India
From the many thing which can be found only in India, Child Labour. This little innocent boy, may be around 10 years old, doesn't know how the school looks like, why so many children of his age go wearing uniforms to the school and what happens inside the classrooms. He only knows to peel the potatoes and work harder whatever his boss orders him.
Please stop child labour, its against law and also humanity.

DOWN with the DAWN
Today I have a guest blogger, my friend Mini to write for this picture of mine. She really liked this picture and showed interest in writing context for this post. Let us see what she has for us! :-)
Often looking at the setting sun, I’m run by the memories of my past. I laugh upon the instances wherein I made stupid mistakes, I feel proud of the moment I succeeded in achieving something, I feel sad about the moment I was hurt badly. There is this plethora of emotions that goes through my mind. Emotions of love, regret, sadness…. but above all is a satisfaction that I lived those moments by myself and faced life the way it came. So as the sun sets I let my past go down with it, and the darkness following it implies to me a blank blackboard preparing to be written about the new tomorrow and a new start and a new line of experiences which in future would be part of my memories. So next time you watch a sun set let go off all the ill memories, preserve the good ones and give a new start. A day is too long with full of opportunities to explore and life is too short to have regrets.
Just like this bird take some time out to watch this scenic beauty in real and you would understand what I meant. Let the load go DOWN with the DAWN.

Date with singing queen
Shreya Ghoshal....!!!!
I had been to Jalgaon, my friend's place, January, '10. Over there we attended Shreya Ghoshal's concert. While we were moving out of the venue, I spotted a car in which Shreya was there. We ran and followed her car. By the time we could reach her car, it was parked outside the hotel with no clue where Shreya disappeared. We waited around her car hoping that Shreya will come back soon or later. Later we learnt that she would be probably checking out late in the night at 3:00 AM. Our hopes were dead of meeting the legendary.
Disappointed, strolling back to our room, one friend burped out- "lets come at 3 in the night!" Our joy relived! We were at the entrance of hotel at sharp 2:30AM, blood gushing through veins, excited! Shreya made it a little late, the wait was worth that we ever experienced.
We met her (she is gorgeous), took this picture, she gave us an autograph and a lifetime memory. ;-)
Sitting idle, wondering what to do, 'Saibo (Shor in the city)', a Shreya Ghoshal song, playing in background pulled me back into the memory lane of meeting with the sweetest voice ever heard, Shreya Ghoshal.

Delhi sunrise
I'm back home! Feels good, home food, sound sleep, I missed them a lot. All into professional life, now I am coming to know what is 'Monday blues', ha ha ha. When in college I used to enjoy Monday-blues, but now....
Well from there, I've brought this sunrise picture for you all. Sun is rising behind the foggy glass of my window.
Keep smiling and clicking. ;-)

colour changing lizard
Rain is pouring heavy in Mumbai and so I am not able to take any photos in a day. So I went back into my collection and found this lizard. I remember this was the first time I saw a lizard changing colour in front of my eyes. Within one moment it turned from brown to green to orange. That was spectacular.
I love this monsoon, but I also love my camera and so I don't take it out in rains.

Cloud clad sky
The runner-up of the Photography contest (May) is Ruchi Chatwani with this photograph of her. She describes, when she took this photograph the sky was completely covered with dense clouds giving her feel like snow clad sky.
p.s. We close the photography contest as of now, we will soon be back with more interesting contests!

bye-bye sun
Open your arms, smile and look at the sky, and say, welcome monsoon. Finally Mumbai will say bye-bye to the hot summer as the first rains poured us so heavily. The climate turned cool and delightful. Too much excited for this monsoon.
This picture is little old, taken few days earlier when the clouds were gearing up for the monsoon.

pebble
Today I have some interesting photos of colourful pebbles.
Found something odd in the name of pebbles? You guessed correctly, these are not pebbles, these are the very close-up shots of food grains. Have you ever seen them so closely?
Are you still not able to recognize them? OK, a simple task for you. Match the following, like we use to do in school. It will be fun!
1. Mung Bean (Moog dal) [split]
2. Red Chickpea (Kabuli chana)
3. Kidney beans (Rajma)
4. Mustard seeds (Rai)
